AiVIF - Dầu sụt hơn 5%

Giá dầu sụt hơn 4 USD/thùng vào ngày thứ Tư (04/01), khi những lo ngại về nhu cầu liên quan đến nền kinh tế toàn cầu và số ca nhiễm Covid-19 ở Trung Quốc đã ảnh hưởng tiêu cực đến giá dầu.

Kết thúc phiên giao dịch ngày thứ Tư, hợp đồng dầu Brent rớt 4.26 USD (tương đương 5.2%) xuống 77.84 USD/thùng. Hợp đồng dầu WTI mất 4.09 USD (tương đương 5.3%) còn 72.84 USD/thùng.

Dầu Brent đã sụt khoảng 9.4%, mức giảm trong 2 phiên đầu năm mạnh nhất kể từ tháng 01/1991, theo dữ liệu từ Refinitiv Eikon.

Bob Yawger, Trưởng bộ phận hợp đồng năng lượng tương lai tại Mizuho, nhận định: “Giá dầu thô giảm do lo ngại về số ca nhiễm Covid-19 ở Trung Quốc và Cục Dự trữ Liên bang Mỹ (Fed) có khả năng gây ra suy thoái toàn cầu… cả 2 đều là những sự kiện ảnh hưởng tiêu cực đến nhu cầu”

Tổ chức Y tế Thế giới (WHO) cho biết dữ liệu từ Trung Quốc cho thấy mặc dù không có biến thể Covid-19 mới nào được tìm thấy ở đây, nước này đã không thể hiện đúng số trường hợp tử vong trong đợt bùng phát lây nhiễm nhanh chóng gần đây.

Tình hình nền kinh tế toàn cầu và việc nâng lãi suất của ngân hàng trung ương cũng gây áp lực lên giá dầu.

Viện Quản lý Cung ứng Mỹ (ISM) cho biết hoạt động sản xuất tại Mỹ đã tiếp tục suy giảm trong tháng 12, giảm 2 tháng liên tiếp từ 49.0 trong tháng 11 xuống 48.4 trong tháng 12, mức thấp nhất kể từ tháng 5/2020.

Đồng thời, một cuộc khảo sát từ Bộ Lao động Mỹ cho thấy cơ hội việc làm đã giảm 54,000 việc xuống còn 10.456 triệu việc làm vào ngày cuối cùng của tháng 11/2022, làm dấy lên lo ngại rằng Fed sẽ sử dụng thị trường lao động thắt chặt như một lý do để giữ lãi suất cao hơn trong thời gian dài hơn.

Chính phủ Trung Quốc đã nâng hạn ngạch xuất khẩu các sản phẩm dầu tinh chế trong đợt đầu tiên của năm 2023, báo hiệu nhu cầu nhiên liệu trong nước giảm.

Quốc gia xuất khẩu dầu hàng đầu thế giới Ả-rập Xê-út có thể hạ giá đối với loại dầu thô Arab Light sang châu Á vào tháng 02/2023, vốn đã ở mức thấp nhất trong 10 tháng trong tháng này, do lo ngại về tình trạng dư cung tiếp tục bao phủ thị trường.

Sản lượng dầu của Tổ chức Các nước Xuất khẩu Dầu mỏ (OPEC) tăng trong tháng 12/2022, một cuộc thăm dò của Reuters cho thấy, bất chấp thảo thuận của liên minh OPEC+ cắt giảm sản lượng mục tiêu để hỗ trợ thị trường.

Cụ thể, OPEC đã bơm vào thị trường 29 triệu thùng/ngày trong tháng trước, tăng 120,000 thùng/ngày so với tháng 11/2022.
