Giá vàng tăng vào ngày thứ Ba (01/11) khi đồng USD và lợi suất trái phiếu Mỹ giảm từ các mức cao trong phiên, với sự tập trung chuyển sang thông báo quan trọng của Cục Dự trữ Liên bang Mỹ (Fed).

Kết thúc phiên giao dịch ngày thứ Ba, hợp đồng vàng giao ngay tiến 0.8% lên 1,646.78 USD/oz, sau khi tăng lên mức cao 1,696.94 USD/oz hồi đầu phiên. Hợp đồng vàng tương lai cộng 0.6% lên 1,649.80 USD/oz.

Edward Moya, Chuyên gia phân tích cấp cao tại Oanda, nhận định: “Vàng ở vị thế mà có thể giữ phần nào đà tăng trong ngày hôm nay đến cuộc họp của Uỷ ban Thị trường Mở Liên bang (FOMC). Thị trường lao động sẽ hạ nhiệt, chỉ là không diễn ra nhanh như mọi người nghĩ và điều đó sẽ giữ nguyên lộ trình làm chậm tốc độ nâng lãi suất của Fed – có thể không phải vào tháng 12, mà có thể sẽ diễn ra tại cuộc họp tháng 02/2023”.

Chỉ số đồng USD đã giảm từ mức đỉnh 1 tuần.

Lợi suất trái phiếu Chính phủ Mỹ kỳ hạn 10 năm cũng giảm do suy đoán rằng Fed có thể báo hiệu tốc độ thắt chặt chính sách chậm hơn trong tuần này, ngay cả khi được kỳ vọng sẽ nâng lãi suất thêm 75 điểm cơ bản.

Vàng rất nhạy cảm với lãi suất cao vì chúng làm tăng chi phí cơ hội cho việc nắm giữ kim loại không đem lại lợi suất.

Giá vàng đã bốc hơi 21% kể từ khi tăng vượt mốc 2,000 USD/oz hồi tháng 3/2022, do Fed nâng lãi suất nhanh chóng.
