Giá dầu giảm vào ngày thứ Hai (07/11), do các tín hiệu trái chiều về Trung Quốc, quốc gia nhập khẩu dầu thô lớn nhất thế giới.

Kết thúc phiên giao dịch ngày thứ Hai, hợp đồng dầu Brent lùi 56 xu xuống 98.01 USD/thùng. Vào đầu phiên, hợp đồng này đã tăng lên 99.56 USD/thùng, mức cao nhất kể từ ngày 31/8/2022.

Hợp đồng dầu WTI mất 75 xu còn 91.86 USD/thùng. Hợp đồng này trước đó đã tăng 74 xu lên 93.74 USD/thung, mức cao nhất kể từ ngày 30/8/2022.

Giá dầu tăng trong phiên giao dịch nhờ thông tin rằng các nhà lãnh đạo Trung Quốc đang xem xét mở cửa trở lại nền kinh tế từ các lệnh phong toả nghiêm ngặt Covid-19, nhưng tiến hành chậm chạm và không xác định thời điểm, Wall Street Journal dẫn nguồn tin cho biết.

Phil Flynn, Chuyên gia phân tích tại Price Futures Group, nhận định: “Thị trường dường như đang nghĩ rằng nếu Trung Quốc mở cửa nền kinh tế, điều đó sẽ khiến nguồn cung khan hiếm đáng kể và gây áp lực tăng giá nhiều hơn”.

Tuy nhiên, gây sức ép lên các hợp đồng dầu, các quan chức y tế Trung Quốc vào cuối tuần qua đã nhắc lại cam kết của họ đối với các biện pháp ngăn chặn Covid-19 nghiêm ngặt.

Trong khi đó, nhập khẩu và xuất khẩu của Trung Quốc đã bất ngờ giảm trong tháng 10, tuy nhiên, nhập khẩu dầu thô phục hồi lên mức cao nhất kể từ tháng 5/2022.

Góp phần hỗ trợ giá dầu, đồng USD đã suy yếu so với đồng Euro và đồng Bảng anh (GBP) vào ngày thứ Hai được hỗ trợ bởi tâm lý ưa thích rủi ro và đà tăng trên thị trường chứng khoán châu Âu. Đồng USD suy yếu làm dầu trở nên ít đắt đỏ hơn đối với người nắm giữ những đồng tiền khác, giúp đẩy giá dầu lên cao hơn.

Giá dầu cũng được củng cố bởi kỳ vọng nguồn cung khan hiếm hơn khi lệnh cấm vận của Liên minh châu Âu (EU) đối với xuất khẩu dầu thô qua đường biển của Nga bắt đầu vào ngày 05/12, mặc dù các nhà máy lọc dầu trên thế giới đang tăng sản lượng.

Tập đoàn công nghiệp dầu khí tích hợp Kuwait (KIPIC) vào ngày Chủ nhật (06/11) cho biết giai đoạn đầu tiên của nhà máy lọc dầu Al Zour của nước này đã bắt đầu hoạt động thương mai, hãng thông tấn nhà nước KUNA cho biết.
